Should witnesses be given the right to anonymity in murder trials? The Law Lords ruled last week that it was unconstitutional not to allow the defendant to see his accusors as it would mean that he would not be able to put questions to them fairly. The government intends to rush legislation through to give witnesses the right to anonymity, thereby "overruling" the Lords' decision. I agree with the Law Lords. What do you think?
