Unit 1 - Rivers, Coasts and Plate Tectonics

Well basically this refers to your studies of the rivers such as:
Lynmouth - the drainage basin of the West and East Lyn
and Bangladesh - obviously the rivers are the River Ganges and Brahmaputra and their associated drainage basins.
I want you to remember when talking about these to actually remember to talk about the name of the rivers.
We did also briefly look at the River Severn - but not in detail - just that its source is in the Cambrian Mountains and it enters the sea in the Bristol Channel (starting in Wales and reaching the sea in England). We haven't done anything in detail on this though. If you remember it was the River video we watched (with the enthusiastic lady who sniffs the seaweed!!!). We used the video to look at the main changes in a river as you go from source to mouth - i.e. the features and landscape found in the upper, middle and lower course. (i.e. waterfalls and v-shaped valleys in the upper course etc.)
