As you will have found out in the weather and climate unit, weather influences our lives greatly. It can affect where we live, what we wear and even what we eat! You should now have an understanding of how we can measure weather and reasons for different temperatures and rainfall levels across the UK. This unit is your chance to explore some of the wilder, more extreme weather that can have a more devastating effect upon our lives. With hurricanes that kill more than 20,000 people a year and tornados that can whip up winds of up to 550km per hour! This is your chance to find out more about these different types of weather and the effects they can have upon our lives.
