Farming
is vital to our survival as it provides us with food, either through
growing crops or rearing animals. In MEDCs, farming is mainly commercial
with large scale farms producing crops or rearing animals in order to sell
and make a profit. However, in many LEDCs families rely on subsistence
farming, this is where they have to grow enough food in order to provide
food for themselves. This unit will explore the different types of farming
and factors that affect them. It will also consider how farming has
changed and the impacts that this change has had. You will end the unit by
undertaking a group research project on one aspect of farming which you
will then present back to the rest of the class. |
