Village of Boscastle devastated by Flash Flooding - Monday 16th August 2004The small village of Boscastle, Cornwall was devastated by flash flooding on Monday 16th August following torrential rainfall. The floods uprooted trees and swept away buildings, bridges and cars as a river of mud and water rushed through the village. In places the water reached up to 9ft deep demolishing buildings and causing havoc.
