Asia hit by devastating earthquake & Tsunamis (26th December 2004)

Asia was hit by a huge earthquake measuring 8.9 on the Richter scale on 26th December 2004 - the biggest earthquake for 40 years. The earthquake which occurred off of the coast of Sumatra resulted in huge tidal waves (tsunamis). Many countries have been affected including amongst other Thailand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, India and Indonesia.
