 You will take three of these components, two examinations papers (either Paper 1 and Paper 3 (Foundation) or Paper 2 and Paper 4 (Higher)) plus the coursework component.

 

First Examination     Paper 1 Foundation

  Paper 2 Higher

                                     2 hours – 50% of Marks

Paper 1 (Foundation) 4 questions (one from each unit) – Candidates answer one question on each unit.

Paper 2 (Higher) 8 questions (two from each unit of the specification content) – Candidates answer one question on each unit.

 Second Examination  Paper 3 Foundation

                                          Paper 4 Higher

1hour – 25% of Marks

·        These include the interpretation of OS maps (1:50,000/1:25,000), photographs and may include satellite images)

·        Each paper will contain 2 questions which link physical and human geography. Both questions are to be answered by candidates.
