Will I be able to work on my project during lesson time? You will be working on your project in lessons up until the end of term. When you come back in September we are starting a new unit of work on Population.
Who will mark my project? Your project is marked by your geography teacher and is then moderated within the department. It may also be marked by an external examiner from the exam board.
What % is my coursework worth? Your coursework mark accounts for 25% of your final grade.
How long should my coursework report be? Your coursework report should normally be between 2500-3000 words.
Do I have to use a computer to write up my project. You do not have to use a computer to write up your project, however there are marks available for the use of ICT and it is strongly advised that you do so.
When will I have access to computers in school? You can have access to the computers in N19 if you arrange it with your teacher. You may be able to use them at lunchtimes and possibly before or after school if a teacher is present.
How is my project marked? Your coursework is marked according to a mark scheme set out by the exam board. A simplified version showing you what you should do to reach the higher marks is available here.
