Back to Fieldwork HomepageYear 9 Natural History Museum TripAs part of the Year 9 KS3 curriculum, you will learn about the causes and effects of earthquakes and volcanoes as examples of Natural Hazards. To complement this work and help you consolidate your understanding before your Year 9 teacher assessment on earthquakes we run a trip to the Natural History Museum in London during February. Whilst at the Museum we make visits to the Earth Gallery, where you have the opportunity to explore the exhibits on volcanoes and earthquakes and try out the interactive activities, as well as experience the earthquake simulator. We also visit the Ecology Gallery, where you will have the opportunity to see the exhibits and interactive activities which relate to the work you studied in the Autumn Term on Rainforests and Ecosystems.
