IMPORTANT

It is important to remember that fluvioglacial erosion is also responsible for creating landforms, for example spillways (Overflow channels), these occur when proglacial lakes overflow, resulting in intense fluvial erosion resulting in the creation of a deep gorge. (please see your class notes on the effects of glaciation on drainage)
